On January 17th at Inova Physical Therapy Centers in Alexandria, Daren Moat PT, MBA, presented on Leadership, “Thinking like a CEO of your own PT career”. Daren, who is a John Maxwell Certified Coach, gave the group insight on aiding individuals with personal and professional growth goals and carrier development. This was a very well attended meeting and we look forward to having Daren work with our team again in the near future.
Also on February 8th we had the privilege touring the Fairfax County Well-Fit Facility for Fire Service Tactical Training. Julie Collier, PT, CIE, Fire Service PFT demonstrated and allowed the attendees to sample Functional Movement Workshops and the tactical circuits/strategies course. It was enlightening to see this side of physical therapy and how it was integrated with these tactical athletes.
We are looking forward to more exciting meetings in the near future as we head into spring and with that we are heading to Shenandoah University at their Leesburg campus for anatomy lab of the lower extremity.
