After graduating from Georgia State University in 1996, Dr. Lynch started as an acute care/ outpatient therapist at Northside Hospital.  She was mentored into their NICU by Elisa Kennedy and practiced there for two years until a family move took her to the Four Corners region.  There she practiced as an agency contractor for those with developmental delays (DD) including working EI, Adults with DD, Navajo schools, as well as traumatic brain injuries.

Another family move brought her to northern Virginia in August 2004.  She has been working with Loudoun County Public Schools since that time.  Shortly after this move, she received her DPT from Boston University in 2006.  Through this process, Dr. Lynch gained more appreciation for evidence-based practice.  The next logical step was to become a Pediatric Certified Specialist, which she earned in 2011.  Dr. Lynch currently serves as the VPTA PSIG’s Secretary.

"Earning the PCS has been so meaningful.  It speaks to a commitment of continued learning and best practice."

Kristin Sanders, PT, MPT, PCS has been privileged to share in the journey of many children and their families as a pediatric physical therapist since 2001.  Mrs. Sanders earned her Masters in Physical Therapy from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has since sought challenges in a variety of pediatric settings.  Her experiences in outpatient, both hospital-based and private practice, Early Intervention, pre-schools, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Developmental Follow-up Clinic have fueled her passion for providing excellent care in the optimal setting for each child and their family.  In order to develop a greater depth of knowledge and skills in the area of pediatrics, Mrs. Sanders became a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2007.

Mrs. Sanders is a lifelong learner who continuously strives to provide evidenced based physical therapy that is both functional and fun.   She integrates and combines many treatment strategies and techniques including therapeutic taping and Total Motion Release with an emphasis on caregiver education and training.  Mrs. Sanders relocated from North Carolina to Warrenton, Virginia in October of 2014 due to a job transfer for her very supportive husband.  She actively participated in the NC Physical Therapy Association, which provided many opportunities for professional development and leadership.  Mrs. Sanders immensely enjoyed her role as a Clinical Director for NC FUNfitness through Special Olympics for ten years.  Since 2010 she has held the position of Mid-Atlantic Regional Clinical Advisor for Special Olympics FUNfitness and continues to volunteer her time for this amazing organization.  Mrs. Sanders is excited to be an active member of the Virginia Physical Therapy Association Pediatric Special Interest Group and serve as the Vice Chair!
