The VPTA Communications Committee would like to welcome our new Communications Chair, Dr. Jessica To-Alemanji.

After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BS in Health Education, Dr. To-Alemanji obtained her MSPT and transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Marymount University and her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science at George Mason University.

As a practicing clinician, business owner, consultant and educator, Dr. To-Alemanji has developed a strategic perspective and deep understanding of the healthcare system. She was the owner and founder of a private physical therapy practice specialized in treating patients with neurological conditions. Additionally, Dr. To-Alemanji has educated and mentored young physical therapy professionals at local universities like Marymount University, Howard University and George Washington University, and advocated for advances in physical therapy services by lobbying on Capitol Hill to address bills related to Medicare Regulations.

Currently, Dr. Jessica To-Alemanji owns a consulting company that provides consultation, education, and mentorship to Young Entrepreneurs and treats patients at INOVA Mt. Vernon Hospital.
