Update from Tidewater
The Tidewater District Executive Committee met in early December 2018 to appoint Laura Burns as the District Director (to fulfill the post elected in even years) and Tony Grillo as our Ethics Committee Representative. We extend our thanks for their service to our past Director Emily Hawkins and to Melanie Basinger in her previous role on the Ethics Committee. We welcome Laura and Tony to our Leadership team.
You don't want to miss our first Spring meeting for 2019!
Feb. 20, 2019, Prosthetics and Rehab will be the focus from Guest Speakers John Robb of Reach Orthotics and Prosthetics and Valerie Arnsten from Adler Therapy Group. The presentation will focus on gait analysis and rehab principles for patients with amputation. The meeting will be held at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News. Refreshments sponsored by REACH at 6:30 p.m., with the meeting to follow from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
We will meet in Conference Room D at Riverside Regional Medical Center, 500 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard, Newport News, VA 23601. Directions to the Hospital and the Conference room:
Coming from 64, you will cross over Jefferson Avenue. After crossing over Jefferson, the entrance to the hospital is at the second traffic light. Once arriving at the hospital, you will turn left at the hospital entrance, turn right into the parking lot and park in any of the spaces on the right hand side. We are located in the conference center of the hospital, which is the very first entrance you will see. The entrance has a sign to the right that states “conference center.” Enter those doors, enter the double doors to the left, walk down the hallway and the conference room entrance is on the right.
