Hello APTA Virginia Members.

Have you ever seen a more trying time to manage your patients? I am sure it also is trying to your patience! See what I did there? I hope you all are well and avoiding issues associated with COVID-19.

By the time that you read this message, our leadership team will have completed planning for the 2020-2021 leadership workshop, where our focus was squarely on driving value to our members by focusing on legislative agendas, improving membership engagement, and maximizing our educational offerings to our members. We had planned this meeting in Alexandria, at APTA headquarters, but were unable to travel/attend secondary to COVID-19 precautions and our desire to protect our members, their families and patients. Although challenging, we were able to manage the task via telecommunication portals. Thank you to all of our board members, committee chairs, SIG chairs, and students groups that volunteered their time to continue to progress our organization forward. Our efforts through strategic planning are beginning to show dividends. Your leadership team is working hard on your behalf. If you have suggestions or input and you were not able to attend, I welcome the suggestions!

All and only the best,

Josh
