A Note from Josh Bailey, VPTA President

Welcome

Greetings! Day light savings time has come. This is the time of year where PTs and PTAs can actually drive home from work in the day light. It is truly a time for rejoicing! Day light savings time also signifies that Spring in upon us. During the spring we typically have two events. The first event was Spring Education which was held at the Radford University School of PT on March 3rd. Two successful courses were held. We look forward to your feedback on these courses as well as suggestions for future education. Please email me president@VPTA.org or Mona Fazzina, Education Chair at mona.fazzina@racva.com.

The second spring event is the VPTA leadership retreat. This will be held on March 24th from 1pm-5pm at APTA headquarters. All members are invited to attend to learn about the VPTA and watch our leadership develop the strategic plan for 2018-2019 fiscal year. This year we will have 3 primary focus groups in the leadership retreat: Legislative, Events, and Membership engagement. The Executive committee, VPTA Board of Directors and all committee chairs will be divided among these groups to shape the future directives of the VPTA. After all of the hard work is done, please also join us for a VPTA Pint Night which begins at 6pm at Murphy’s Grand Irish Pub in Alexandria. I hope to see you there.

Respectfully submitted,

Josh Bailey, President
