Tidewater District News

The Tidewater District is pleased to announce our 2018 programming! We are excited to offer more education, leadership, and service opportunities to students and clinicians in our area. See the District Facebook page (VPTA Tidewater District) and emails via District distribution list for parking passes, sign-ups and more information. 

1.  Wednesday, September 19; Old Dominion's Batten Arts & Letters building, room 1012 

Dr. Saunora Prom, DO, CAQSM, will give a presentation about in-office injections (stem cell, PRP, US-guided, etc.) and implications for rehab.

Refreshments provided by a sponsor will be available at 6:30 pm, then a business meeting and the presentation will begin at 7 p.m. 

2.  Saturday, October 13; Clinicians will volunteer with Children's Assistive Technology Service (CATS) of Hampton Roads to clean equipment and re-organize equipment storage as part of PT Global Day of Service. We will also be hosting a social at a local brewery to celebrate National Physical Therapy Month. 

3.  Wednesday, November 14; Old Dominion's Student Recreation Center, room 2000

Dr. Eric Schussler and other ODU PT and AT faculty will be providing a cadaver lab review of the shoulder.

Participation in this event will be limited to ~30 clinicians. The session will begin at 7 p.m.
