President's Message

This message is the last President’s message that I will be providing for you as my final term will expire in November. I have truly enjoyed getting to know you and work on your behalf over the last five years. I am humbled by the support and trust that you all provided to me and in me. We have accomplished a lot together. We have achieved financial stability, revamped our education offerings, expanded and revived organizational committees, created opportunities for early professionals, developed a process to improve diversity and inclusion, hired new executive leadership, updated our accounting, grown in size by nearly 15%, changed our name and updated our logo. It has been a busy but fulfilling time. Thank you for allowing me to lead this organization, represent you and our profession. I will be leaving you in very able hands. I have enjoyed working with Dr. Tony Grillo, President-elect, over recent months, and he has demonstrated that he is very equipped to be a catalyst for APTA-Virginia in the years to come. Thank you again. I appreciate you and your efforts.
