Intention To Revise "Waters of the United States"

In June of this year, The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and the EPA announced their intent to revise the definition of the Waters of the United States (WOTUS).  
 
In 2020, the Trump administration replaced the 2015 Clean Water Rule imposed by the Obama administration with the Navigable Waters Rule. The Biden Administration is now intending to repeal and replace the 2020 Navigable Waters Rule.

The EPA and the Corp of Engineers have commenced the process to revise the definition of “waters of the U.S.” This will include two rulemakings: 1) a rule to restore previous protections and 2) a rule that expands on the restored regulatory foundation.  
 
The Agencies are currently conducting public meetings for interested stakeholders. Below is a schedule of upcoming meetings. This will be the best resource for anyone interested in following this issue.  
 
The National Stone and Sand & Gravel Association is following this issue closely.  
 
August 25, 2021 from 3-5 p.m. Eastern (for small entities) – Registration
August 26, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. Eastern – Registration
September 2, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. Eastern – Registration
