An Act of Heroism: Andrei of PD Brooks Company

A drive-by shooting occured early on the morning of February 11, in Norfolk. While a transformer underground was being replaced, a vehicle came up to the work zone and took several shots at the utility workers there, striking one of the linemen.
PD Brooks Company Inc. employees were on-site handling the road closures. Andrei, an employee of PD Brooks, saw the vehicle returning to the work zone again and pulled a metal road sign over to shield the workers until help could arrive.
"I am so proud of Andrei and what we do here at PD Brooks Company Inc," said Frank Payne, vice president of PD Brooks.
