Colton Dalhke making suds and raising funds for the VTCA PAC.

Once 12-year-old Colton Dalhke heard the reason for VTCA’s PAC from his father, Tanner Dalhke of Carter Machinery, Colton had an idea. He wanted to contribute his business earnings to the VTCA PAC to ensure Virginia has safe and sustainable roads. Colton told his dad that when he turned 16 that he was going to have a nice car and did not want potholes to damage his nice car. Colton just finished a few car washes to wrap up his October VTCA PAC fundraiser where he raised an unbelievable $225!

VTCA’s PAC enables VTCA to meet with candidates and convey the importance of supporting transportation construction. Next year’s state house and senate races will see a lot of new candidates who need to understand long-term, sustainable transportation funding is critical to economic mobility and growth in Virginia. Without the necessary funds, we will all have to watch for more potholes.
