Frank Payne discussing P.D. Brooks projects.

With 25 years under his belt at P.D. Brooks Company, Inc., Vice President Frank Payne figured it was time to expand and provide more services at the company that has remained a family run business for over 60 years.

The new 5,000 square foot building has multiple aspects. They expanded and moved the sign shop and repair center into the new building. They manufacture any type of sign, arrow, and message boards, as well as repairs. With four locations across Virginia in Richmond, Fredericksburg, Tidewater and Staunton, P.D. Brooks looks to be a core partner to contractors with signage and safety.

“We try to be a full-service partner to our customers, we sell, rent, and service all kinds of products. With all this inventory, including attenuators which are to be installed and used in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and requirements. You cannot believe how often drivers run into these things,” said Payne, “One thing you may not know is P.D. Brooks does a lot of traffic planning for events. Think closed streets for community runs or festivals. If it is happening, we are probably there. The new building has a planning room to help community partners plan and map events.”
