Wanda Louise Templeton, 91, of Lynchburg passed away on April 4, 2023. She was born on January 3, 1932, to the late Bert Louis Neely and Jewel Ferrell Neely.

Wanda was born in Tonkawa, Oklahoma and moved to California in 1936 to escape the dust bowl. She lived in California until 1954. In 1952 she met the love of her life, Lt. Harold Templeton, while he was working at McCellan Air Force Base. The couple married two years later. Wanda was an active member of Peakland Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was also an avid golfer and once hit a hole-in-one on the course at Boonsboro Country Club, where she was a member for many years. Wanda was also a proud member of the Boonsboro Women’s Golf Association. In addition to her golfing activities, Wanda was past president and a longtime member of the Inglewood Garden Club. In her later years, she and Harold moved to Westminster Canterbury.

Wanda was the wife of Harold Templeton, Marvin V. Templeton & Sons, Inc. and the mother of Marvin Templeton.  Both gentlemen served as President of VRTBA, Harold in 1982 and Marvin in 2002.

VTCA sends our deepest condolences to the Templeton family during this time.
