VDOT Updates NLEB Memorandum

VDOT has updated their Memorandum on the uplisting of the Northern Long Eared Bat to endangered. During the VTCA Spring Transportation Conference in Norfolk, VDOT announced that the USFWS had released interim guidance material to help guide the Department and stakeholders in managing the restrictions in effect resulting from the uplisting. The release of the USFWS guidance and tools was just in time to be available for the delayed implementation date of April 1, 2023. The new memorandum reflects the latest VDOT guidance.
