VDOT Issues VTM Memorandum for Balanced Mix Design Tests

VDOT’s Materials Division has issued a new memorandum, MD 460-23 publishing four new Virginia Test Methods (VTM) (VTM 142, VTM 143, VTM 144 and VTM 145) regarding performance testing of asphalt mixtures under the current Balanced Mix Design (BMD) initiative and implementation. The memorandum is available on VDOT’s website and is effective July 1, 2023.
