National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW) is coming soon, taking place April 15-19. NWZAW highlights the risks workers, motorists, pedestrians and passengers experience in roadway work zones and provides an active opportunity to participants to advocate for safety.
Join daily events and commemorations:
- April 15 – Work Zone Safety Training Day
- April 16 – National kickoff event, hosted by Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT)
- April 17 – Go Orange Day and VDOT Workers Memorial Event
- April 18 – Social media storm
- April 19 – Moment of Silence
Plan your own event, promote NWZAW and join the conversation on social media.
- Plan and host your own NWZAW event with the help of the curated “NWZAW Event Planning Guide.”
- Promote your event and the message of NWZAW with the “NWZAW Event Promotion Guide.”
- Follow the conversation and spread the word on social media with #NWZAW and #WorkZoneSafety. Be sure to include #Orange4Safety on Go Orange Day!
