VTCA is a statewide association dedicated to representing the interests of the transportation construction industry in Virginia. We advocate for policies that support the growth and success of our industry and provide resources and support to our members.

Job Description:

VTCA is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Event and Communications Intern to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, communications, and association management within the transportation construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of VTCA events, including conferences, seminars, and networking events.
  • Support the development and implementation of communication strategies to engage members and stakeholders.
  • Create content for VTCA's website, social media channels, and newsletters.
  • Conduct research to support VTCA's advocacy efforts and industry initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to the VTCA team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
