Rockydale Quarries Corporation (RQC) has acquired B&S Contracting, Inc. to expand its footprint in Virginia. B&S Contracting (B&S) has asphalt plants located in the City of Staunton and in Augusta County.

Rockydale has operated in Virginia since 1932 and now has nine locations in the state.
B&S Contracting, established in 1982 has approximately 50 employees, all of which will remain with the company.
“We are thrilled to increase our overall capacity and expansion into the hot-mix asphalt and contracting business.” says Randolph. “Danny Bartges will remain as President of B&S and will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the asphalt division. B&S will maintain the exceptional quality and service known to the market over the past 40 years.”
