Carter Academy Operator School Begins in April

The Carter Academy for Construction Related Trades provides heavy equipment operator and technician training to help fill the skills gap throughout Virginia for workers and employers looking to fill these positions. The Academy is certified to operate by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). The operator certificate program is offered at Carter Academy’s Central Virginia location, led by a team of certified instructors and administrative staff. Together, they provide students with top-notch classroom, online, and hands-on instruction on multiple Cat® heavy equipment machines, as well as through state-of-the-art Cat simulators.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

  • 192 hours of combined classroom, simulator, hands-on machine, and online curriculum.
  • Classes will be at our Mechanicsville, VA location.

CLASS SCHEDULE (Mondays through Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

  • Starts April 7 through May 29
