Colonial Construction Materials, Inc. is a small, woman-owned (SWaM Certified) and family-managed business. For more than 35 years, Colonial has been a cornerstone supplier to the Mid-Atlantic transportation construction industry, supplying effective erosion control products, stormwater solutions, geotextile fabrics, and fences. Colonial has two distribution centers with the headquarters located in Richmond, Virginia, and the Tidewater branch in Virginia Beach.

Although Colonial supplies site work products to all major construction sectors, the heavy civil and transportation industry has been a mainstay since the company was founded in Richmond in 1988. Over the years, Colonial has supplied some of VDOT’s largest transportation projects most recently including the I-64 Southside/High Rise Bridge, the I-64 Widening through the Peninsula, I-495 Northern Expansion, Transform 66, and the I-95 Improvements in Fredericksburg.

Despite their experience with major projects, Colonial has always believed that no project or contractor is too big or too small. Colonial supplies design-build teams, earthwork subcontractors, utility contractors and hydroseeding companies of all sizes.
