This year VTCA and Division on Mineral Mining recognize 62 individuals receiving Individual Safety Awards from Luck Stone Corporation, Roanoke Cement Company, Titan America, Salem Stone Corporation, Virginia Vermiculite, and Vulcan Materials.
This year’s 62 recipients represent a total of 1,583 years without a lost-time accident! 19 of this year’s recipients have 35 years or more of service without a lost-time accident. Give all these miners a shout-out!
DMM and VTCA believe that the Virginia Mineral Mine Safety Award program provides an incentive to miners to work with care and instills pride in those responsible for a winning effort.
All individual award winners will receive a certificate acknowledging their achievement. Individual employee safety awards will be presented to the winners at their work location either by DMM/VTCA or mine management personnel.
