With sadness, we have learned that Jack Hodge has passed. The former VDOT Chief Engineer and VRTBA/VTCA Board member died peacefully on Saturday, October 2, in Roanoke, Virginia. He was 88.
Jack served VDOT for 39 years retiring in 1996 as the Department’s Chief Engineer. Following his retirement from VDOT he joined the industry working for VTCA member Volkert, Inc. and served on the VRTBA’s Board of Directors and Engineering Leadership Committee.
A private service for the family will be conducted in Roanoke with burial at the Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone, Va., at a later date.
