Henrico Department of Workforce & Career Development – Life Ready Career Rodeo Skills Challenge

The Henrico Department of Workforce and Career Development is proud to host the 2022 #LifeReady Career Rodeo Skills Challenge on March 16 at the Exhibition Hall of the Richmond Raceway Complex. The Career Rodeo offers ACE Center students the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of various stakeholders, most notably potential employers.  During the event, students will solve work-based challenges demonstrating their hands-on skillset. Industry partners can leave feedback, as well as leave with resumes in hand of students interested in summer or full-time employment.

Last time, over 300 resumes were given out. There will also be space available for limited on-site interviews. The Career Rodeo is the second of three events preparing students for future career success, with the culminating event being our CTE Signing Day, which will be held in May.  In the fall, the Life Ready Expo brought students and their families together with industry partners to learn about career opportunities.  It is through such career exploration and work-based learning experiences that our students can truly be #LifeReady.

Lunch will be provided. Masks are required. REGISTER HERE by Friday, February 25.
