New I&IM on VDOT's CEI Vehicle Rates

VDOT issues new agreement for Consultant Construction Engineering and Inspection Vehicle Payment. IIM-CD-2023-04.01, which was posted August 1, provides an update to VDOT’s policy for reimbursement for vehicles that are provided to support CEI work. The new agreement is effective August 1 for all CEI contracts, existing as well as those that have yet-to-be awarded.  

Highlights of the new and more simplified policy include:

• One flat fee for any vehicle of $900 per month (plus mileage at VDOT’s reduced mileage rate).
• Elimination of the hourly rate reimbursement model.
• Relaxed vehicle requirements (e.g., only two vehicles and shorter wheelbase requirements for pickup truck – down from 132” to 122”)
