The VTCA Aggregates Program has made the commitment to promote Virginia’s Aggregate Industry with the public, local governments, educators, and any other stakeholders that can impact our industry. With that in mind, VTCA recently completed our report, The Economic Contribution of the Construction Aggregate & Industrial Mineral Mining in Virginia. With our study complete, we are striving to distribute the report to as many stakeholders as possible.
The Aggregates Marketing Committee recommended that VTCA connect with the economic development community to share our report. Given that recommendation, VTCA, connected with the Virginia Economic Development Association (VEDA) to distribute our report.
Thanks to Robb Bohannan with Hunton Andrew Kurth, and Cornerstone Member with VEDA, he was able to facilitate our report being included in the March 2024 VEDA Newsletter.
We have also offered to give a presentation based on our Report at a Future VEDA Conference and are working with the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association to give a webinar presentation based on our report. Our webinar presentation could happen in the next few months.
