Respirable Crystalline Silica Rule - NSSGA Noise & Dust Workshop

As you may be aware, MSHA has put in place their new Respirable Crystalline Silica Rule. The Rule went into effect on June 17, and Operators will have 24 months to comply.

The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) is happy to offer the Noise & Dust Workshop once again, which prepares miners and mine operators to conduct ongoing noise and dust sampling at their facilities. The course is led by an MSHA instructor from the Mine Health and Safety Academy and includes two days of classroom work plus one full day of hands-on sampling for respirable crystalline silica and noise at an active quarry. Results of noise sampling will be available immediately for participants to review; dust samples require laboratory analysis and results will be sent to participants after the class is completed. The cost of laboratory analysis will be covered by NSSGA.
