The University of Virginia’s Center for Transportation Studies, in partnership with the Virginia Department of Transportation and the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance, is preparing to offer the thirteenth annual Transportation Project Management Institute.
Following a 2-year hiatus due to COVID, Mineral Mining (formally DME) has announced it is once again offering their mine safety and health law seminar focusing on federal (MSHA) and Virginia state laws governing the mineral mining (metal/nonmetal) industry.  
The Wage and Hour Division will offer virtual prevailing wage seminars to provide training and outreach on topics such as the Davis-Bacon Act, the Service Contract Act, Executive Orders 13658, 13706 and 14026, wage determinations and conformances, and compliance assistance and enforcement processes.
For nearly fifty years, Rufus worked for W.F. Magann Corporation where he retired as the company's Executive Vice President. Rufus was a very active supporter of VTCA.

Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation Director Jennifer Mitchell left her post March 18. Jennifer DeBruhl, who has served as the department’s chief of public transportation for more than five years, will serve as acting director.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin joined state and local officials March 14 to break ground on a two-and-a-half-mile extension of the express lanes on Interstate 495 between the Dulles Corridor and the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Fairfax County.
On March 21, 2022, the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry’s Safety and Health Codes Board (DOLI) held a final hearing and vote on whether to revoke the Department’s Permanent COVID-19 Regulation (Standard).
