VTCA embraces the development of the industry’s future by welcoming the latest cohort of emerging leaders. Twelve new members from the Associates, Aggregate Producers, Contractors, and Consultant Engineer membership categories started their two-year program by hosting Commissioner of Highways Stephen Brich, and Deputy Commissioner Cathy McGhee at their first meeting. 
On July 27, 2023, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued a heat hazard alert to remind employers of their obligation to protect workers against heat illness or injury in outdoor and indoor workplaces.

The VSWD certification is recommended for anyone who must identify wetlands or streams on their sites for project planning, project impact avoidance and minimization analyses, and compensatory mitigation planning.
