VTCA members and staff were at the Hotel Roanoke on November 16 to help K-12 STEM teachers implement engineering problem-based learning (PBL) in the classroom. 
 
On December 1, Timmons Group held a topping-off ceremony for its new headquarters in Chesterfield County.  Timmons topped off the last steel beam of its new five-story, 150,000-square-foot building.
 
Over the past couple of years, the CMA certification process has been a recurring topic of discussion during aggregate producer technical committee meetings. VTCA is seeking feedback regarding the CMA certification process to support the discussion during the upcoming statewide co-op on December 19, 2023.

Registration is now open for the 2024 TCMI program, marking over three decades of training Virginia’s transportation industry’s emerging leaders. Offered at Virginia Tech’s campus in Blacksburg, TCMI leads participants through a comprehensive developmental program tailored for individuals on a leadership track in the industry.
The Department of Transportation has completed a long overdue and major overhaul of its website, and  soft launched the new website on December 8.
Now nearly 50 miles, the Interstate-95/Interstate-395 Express Lanes make up the longest reversible road in the United States. It provides faster, more reliable travel choices between Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia’s rapidly growing suburbs.
