Wnet PayTech News
December 28, 2021

The end of 2021 brings with it memories of challenges, innovations in our industry and our association and optimism for a bright future ahead. As my Wnet president tenure ends, I want to reflect on our year of celebration, resilience and connection.

During our 15th year as a nonprofit association, our members received access to 58 events, including an inaugural Career Month with four sessions, the new PayTechWomenLead virtual event and a return to our in-person annual Leadership Summit. More than 5,500 registrants attended our online and in-person programming that featured top industry professionals from across the globe. Thank you to our hundreds of volunteers, our leadership team and our corporate partners for building and supporting great content to challenge, inspire and empower our members and not-yet members in our industry.

In addition to our increased programming, we introduced Inclusion Groups, under the direction of our new DEI Council, to prioritize diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. I am so proud of our many efforts toward creating more inclusive and equal working environments, and I am excited to see the 2022 leadership team evolving our commitment toward driving change. But we need you, too! Our Wnet community only succeeds with the dedication of our members!

Thank you for your past involvement, and I hope you consider more participation in 2022. Save the date for the new Wnet Town Hall on Jan. 27 with 2022 President Kelly Tufts and for our inaugural Volunteer Fair on Jan. 25. Be the Connection. Make the Connection.

Happy holidays and best wishes for the New Year!

Mary Uslander, Wnet President

Sincerely,

A Look Back to Celebrate Our Expanded DEI Efforts

Wnet Inclusion Groups Meet Up at 2021 Leadership Summit

Wnet Inclusion Groups Meet Up at 2021 Leadership Summit, Presented by FIS

2021 was an amazing year for our elevated diversity, equity and inclusion efforts that support you, our members, and the whole Wnet community! In its infancy in early 2021, the Wnet DEI Council determined the approach and execution of tasks supporting the specific goals for our organization, members and sponsors. Three areas of focus were created:

  • Infrastructure & Support
  • Diversity & Inclusivity Management
  • Learning & Development Awareness

By prioritizing and focusing our diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives for internal and member purposes as well as partner, sponsor and industry objectives, we developed a realistic roadmap that resulted in the completion of the following key accomplishments:
