To All WRLA Members,
I want to take a minute to update WRLA members on our Strategic Planning process. Last October a survey was sent to all WRLA members. This survey was the first step in the development of a strategic plan that will drive this association for the next 3 to 4 years. Your response rate was outstanding. Most electronic surveys average a 10-12% response rate. But we had an incredible 25% of our members reply to the questions! Those questions asking for a written response also received hundreds of replies. These numbers prove that you firmly believe in our association and are dedicated to helping us chart a course for the future. Our next step will be just as exciting. On Tuesday, December 6th, the WRLA will be hosting an Industry Symposium. This one day meeting will be attended by 20 of the industry’s leading decision makers representing retailers, distributors, and all the buying groups. The input from this meeting will be combined with the results of our member survey and delivered to our strategic planning committee.
This committee will be responsible for developing a strategic plan that will be presented to the Board of Directors in June 2012. Our goal is to ensure the WRLA is properly positioned to offer maximum value to both our members and the industry as a whole.
Our Strategic Planning Committee members are: Karen Clement, Mike Doyle, Rob Hauser, Martha Konantz, Michael McLarney, and myself.
I will keep you updated as we travel through this important process in the history of the WRLA.

RONA inc. announced today the expiration and results of the first offer ("Offer 1") of its previously announced Offers (as defined below). Offer 1, which has been conducted as a modified "Dutch Auction", expired at 5:00 p.m., Montreal time, on November 28, 2011.
As announced on November 3, 2011, Offer 1 was the first of two successive offers to purchase for cash (collectively, the "Offers"), a portion of RONA’s 5.40% Debentures due October 20, 2016 (Unsecured) (the "Debentures"). The terms and conditions of both Offers are set out in the offers to purchase of RONA dated November 3, 2011 (as they may be amended or supplemented from time to time, collectively the "Offer to Purchase") and the related Letter of Transmittal. Capitalized terms used and not defined herein have the meanings given to them in the Offer to Purchase.

Regina-based Brandt Group of Companies announced yesterday that they have surpassed a major financial milestone: $1 billion in annual revenue. To show their appreciation to the customers, employees, and communities who have helped them reach this level of success, Brandt will be giving back more than $3 million before the end of 2012.
Reaching $1 billion in annual sales is an accomplishment rarely achieved by Canadian companies - let alone privately owned companies like Brandt. Bucking downward global economic trends, Brandt has succeeded against all odds and continues to grow and prosper.
"We owe it all to a great team of employees and loyal customers," says Brandt Chairman Gavin Semple. "We couldn't have done it without them."
"Few companies ever achieve a billion dollars in annual revenue. Even fewer give it back," says Brandt President Shaun Semple. "We are very grateful and we want to say thanks by giving back over $3 million to our employees, our customers, and our communities.
