Thank You For Another Outstanding Year

 As the year winds down, I want to take a few moments to say thank you for your support of, and belief in, NAFA. All of us at NAFA headquarters have your satisfaction as our ultimate goal. When you renew your membership, participate in NAFA meetings, and get involved and engaged, it tells us that we are hitting the mark.
I wanted to share with you just a very brief list of some of the major objectives we accomplished this year, so you can see where your dues are going and what NAFA is doing for you. In 2013, NAFA has:
- Spread the word about the value of NAFA membership and increased our membership total by more than 5 percent
- Delivered another outstanding annual Institute and Expo, where attendance grew by nearly 17 percent from last year
- Offered half-day, local seminars to reduce your time out of office and still give you access to top-shelf, pertinent education
- Developed a detailed plan for a concentrated effort to assist all NAFA chapters in delivering a consistently high level of service to their Members & Affiliates
- Provided free, monthly, 90-minute webinars on today’s hottest fleet issues
- Spread the word about fleet managers and the fleet management profession to tens of thousands of executives and related personnel through the Beyond Fleet program (www.beyondfleet.com)
- Enabled your global networking capabilities to more than 6,000 fleet professionals through our LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter pages
- Developed the "I Am NAFA" video series to depict the breadth and depth of the diversity of NAFA members
- Published two world-class guides on Global Fleet Operations and Business Management
- Defended the fleet profession more heartily and with a proactive stance by expanding our legislative activity in Washington, DC
- Secured valuable partnerships with the National Safety Council; AIAGA, the Italian Fleet Managers Association; AltCar Expo; ACTExpo; and others
- Offered 21 separate CAFM exam dates, including 6 local sittings, for more for 513 certification candidates taking nearly 2,000 exams
As a result of those successes and others, NAFA is in a tremendous position for expansion next year. I hope you will be part of our growth story. And if there is ever a time when you feel we have missed our target, please let us know so we can make things right for you.
I look forward to leading the NAFA staff and working with all of you to deliver even greater value to you next year. For now, though, please be sure to take some time to enjoy your family and friends during this season. Your NAFA family looks forward to next year with great anticipation.
