NRMCA Continues to Verify EPDs for Ready Mix Producers

NRMCA recently verified system-level Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for California-based NRMCA Producer member Robertson’s Ready Mix, Texas-based NRMCA Producer member Ingram Ready Mix and Indiana-based producer Milestone Contractors LP.

• Robertson’s Ready Mix – public access to the EPD is available on the NRMCA EPD webpage as NRMCA EPD: 20052 Robertson’s Ready Mix. This EPD reports the impacts for ready mixed concrete from four plants in Southern California. This is an addition to an EPD reporting impacts for four plants in Southern California, published in 2021.
• Ingram Ready Mix – public access to the EPD is available on the NRMCA EPD webpage as NRMCA EPD: 20090 Ingram Ready Mix. This EPD reports the impacts for ready mixed concrete from one plant in Houston.
• Milestone Contractors LP – public access to the EPD is available on the NRMCA EPD webpage as NRMCA EPD: 20091 Milestone Contractors LP. This EPD reports the impacts for ready mixed concrete from one portable plant operating in Indianapolis.

EPDs for Robertson’s Ready Mix and Ingram Ready Mix were developed in consultation with and based on the ClimateCLARITY software tool by Climate Earth. The EPD for Milestone Contractors was developed in consultation with and based on the Theta Concrete LCA Calculator by WAP Sustainability. Both software tools were reviewed and verified by Industrial Ecology Consultants. All EPDs were verified by Ecoform, a verifier in NRMCA’s EPD program.
