Rottneros Bruk Has Renewa Deliver New Biomass Boiler to Pulp Mill

"Rottneros (Rotternos, Sweden) has earlier this year announced a SEK 98 Million investment program at Rottneros Bruk. We are running a number of projects that will improve the energy efficiency and reduce the use of fossil fuels at our mill in Rottneros. For the increased production of high yield pulps, we need a new (20 MW) biomass boiler that has high availability, quick response to heat demand in our production process, and low emissions. We also set a high value for the cost efficiency for the plant. After a detailed evaluation of different options, we decided to choose Renewa (Finland) and their ReneFluid BFB-based boiler concept," said Olle Dahlin, managing director, Rottneros Bruk AB.

Rottneros Bruk AB is a part of Rottneros Group that manufactures pulp and sells it on the open market. The group produces nearly 375,000 metric tons of pulp yearly and employs some 240 employees. Rottneros Bruk AB manufactures the high yield pulps, CTMP and groundwood pulp, that account for approximately 40% of the group’s production.
