Perseus Group (“Perseus”), an operating group of Constellation Software, announced that it has completed the purchase of a worldwide exclusive license to Honeywell’s OptiVision for the pulp and paper industry. OptiVision is a leading Order to Cash system providing order management, planning, manufacturing execution, warehousing and shipping.

This acquisition marks another important step in Antalis’ expansion in the Iberian packaging market. Founded in 1983, Plaesa is a family-owned business specialising in the design, conversion and production of customised technical packaging solutions.

Metsä Wood, part of Metsä Group, plans to discontinue plywood production in Suolahti, Finland. The plan to end production at the Suolahti mill is based on its poor profitability. According to the plans, production at the Suolahti birch plywood mill would end by the end of first quarter of 2025 and production at the spruce plywood mill would end by the end of 2026 at the latest.

Georgia-Pacific officially opened its new Dixie® tableware manufacturing site in Jackson, Tennessee. The approximately $425 million facility sits on 241 acres and is 900,000 square feet.

Mondi announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the German, Benelux and UK corrugated converting and solid board operations of Schumacher Packaging.

Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority (MBCIA) announced that Graphic Packaging International (GPI), a leading company in the design and manufacturing of packaging for commercial products, will invest $136 million in the modernization of its Macon mill. GPI employs more than 1,330 employees in Georgia, and the Macon mill investment will help retain more than 460 manufacturing jobs.
