To more effectively deliver compelling and relevant content, SPFA and our publisher, Naylor Association Solutions, have assembled a Readership Survey that you should have likely received by the time you read this. The survey is important because we have more things going on than can be written about in the pages available and have to be selective of topics – your input on the readership survey helps us know what we are doing that you like, and what you’d like to see in future issues so we can accommodate that. If you need a link to the survey, please contact Rachel Brown at Naylor at rachelb@naylor.com, or send an email to info@sprayfoam.org.

You asked, we listened. Filling jobs and keeping the market growing is a critical part of realizing SPF industry success. Unemployment rates are low, the economy is buzzing, and having the staff you need to get the job done is essential also to your company's success. With workforce development a high priority for SPFA, helping the industry fill positions becomes an obvious and valuable role for the association. It is widely recognized that the unique position of industry professional associations affords great opportunity to play a central role in advertising, promoting, filling and celebrating the niche markets they serve. Rather than having your posting buried in thousands of other jobs on the large national job boards, SPFA has a built-in custom audience, relationships to promote the job board externally to prospective talent pools, and resources to draw attention to the service and posted positions through our national trade publication Sprayfoam Professional Magazine, bi-weekly newsletter, and our social media accounts. Today is a soft-launch announcement of the service. There are jobs currently posted through a feeder-service from Indeed. SPFA receives from time to time from members a request to help fill an open position, or if we know of anyone looking for a certain position. This is something that has gone on informally in the background for years. It’s time to make it a real thing. The first position was added just this week – Gold Star to Larry Ash at United Thermal Systems in New York. Feel free to visit www.spfa.boxwoodgo.com/jobs, post a job (free for SPFA members), look through jobs, and consider how this new service will become a resource for you whether you are a manufacturer, contractor, or anything in between. As the service is used, it will be refined and improved. Formal launch is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, 2019. For more information, questions or for any reason, contact SPFA.
