• Small Contractor AwardSmall Contractors (5 or fewer field employees) enter their project in the appropriate category and indicate if they are a small contractor. Once the judging for category is completed and winner selected, the Small Contractor with the highest number of votes, regardless of project category, will win the Small Contractor Award. At last week’s Board of Directors meeting, we were given the task to grow the PCP and to form a task group to implement this goal.
All SPFA members are welcome to join. Your participation is important! Please complete the doodle poll by Monday, October 23 so we can schedule the kick-off meeting. If you can’t make any of the days listed, but still want to participate, please contact Kelly at kmarcavage@sprayfoam.org.
PHASE I
1) Increase participation in PCP
2) Minimize expenses to become certified
3) Simplify the process
4) Track status of certification for us and them
5) Promote to contractors (not end-users)
6) Road Show – PCP – Training, Written Exams and Field Exams
PHASE II
1) When number of certified individuals is increased, develop and implement marketing plan to:
a. General public (consumers)
b. General contractors, home builders, facility managers, specifiers, architects, etc.

Overall construction input prices are 0.3% higher than a year ago, while nonresidential construction input prices are 0.6% higher, according to a release announcing the numbers.

During the past year, the SPFA Roofing Committee has made significant changes to TechDoc SPFA-104 “Spray Polyurethane Foam Systems for New and Remedial Roofing”. Included in this update are 25 color SPF roofing details, now available for download as individual AutoCAD .DXF files. These files enable contractors and design professionals to easily integrate SPF roofing into their project drawings. SPFA members can access this updated TechDoc for free on the member-only webpage. Non-members can purchase and download it from the SPFA Online Store.

Hotel Reservations now being accepted in the SPFA Room Block at the Westgate Hotel. The Westgate Resort is the location of SprayFoam 2024. All Convention and Expo events will be here. Stay where the action is! The discounted price is $139 plus applicable taxes and the discounted resort fee ($25). A resort fee is customary in Las Vegas.
